For companies, eTampere promised development and training related to the models, theories and practices of new electronic business, an acceleration of the growth of new high technology companies, and a transfer of research knowledge into product development, products and services.
eTampere proved that even though research certainly has its place, continued success requires that knowledge society is made increasingly tangible in daily services and events. This calls for cooperation and initiative from all parties.
Examples of company cooperation presented here are eSME, a successful service for the electrification of SMEs’ business, the Mobile tasters project, which was never fully realized, and the eAccelerator business development concept, which is to continue in good pace after eTampere’s conclusion.
