eBRF conference crosses boundaries

eBRF is a unique research conference that brings together business researchers and end-users. The conference’s theme ‘Business in Knowledge Society’ touches particularly on economics, industrial management, knowledge management and information systems science. The conference aims to enhance the transfer of business research into the use of end-users – companies and government – and raise the level of understanding of the research process. End-users are included in the process with the work-in-progress concept. This means that the researchers speaking at the conference don’t finalize their research papers until after the conference, thus taking into consideration the received end-user feedback.

eBRF also develops business research in general by crossing boundaries between various disciplines as well as the boundary between the academic and business worlds. In this way, researchers are encouraged to extend their cooperation and assess from a wider perspective what is worth researching and how, and who the research benefits.
