Technology engine programmes

World-leading signal processing and broadband data transfer know-how, comprehensive user-interface research, hypermedia laboratory, Tampere Virtual Reality Center, intelligent home, W3C Finnish Office… These are the foundations for the success of the eTampere engine programmes and other sub-programmes.

The eTampere engine programmes work in co-operation with companies, Tampere University of Technology, the University of Tampere, Tampere Technology Centre Ltd and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

What are the goals of the engine programmes?
The primary goal is to achieve genuine, world-leading research know-how, which at its best will result in new businesses. The turnover objective of the research work in the engine programmes for 2001–2005 is EUR 18.5 million. At the present we are right on schedule.
